E-vouchers work in a similar way to online banking. You have a personal e-voucher account giving you control to you pay your carer when you want.  You can easily monitor and review your payments and it is hassle-free for your carer.

You can make one off payments or set up a regular payments schedule to pay your carers.
With e-vouchers your carer does not need to redeem any vouchers - you simply arrange payments directly into their bank account.

Paper vouchers work like cash. Vouchers arrive at your home address on payday and you use these to pay your carer who redeems them with Sodexo Pass. All vouchers have a life of over 12 months so you can also save up vouchers to use at busier periods during the year such as during the school holidays.
  
Most carers are happy to accept childcare vouchers as payment and Sodexo Pass ensures that it is as easy and hassle-free as possible. E-vouchers are the preferred choice for carers as they simply receive notification when a payment has been made to their bank account.  In the case of paper vouchers, carers can redeem the vouchers in one of three ways - email, Freepost or freephone.  Sodexo Pass credits the carer via BACS transfer directly into their bank account. 

To tell your carer about Sodexo Pass childcare vouchers, email us indicating your carer's name, email address together with your name and email address. You can choose to add a personal message for their attention, which we will include in our email sent to them.
