Health and safety
Government and EU legislation has made environmental health and safety a critical issue in the healthcare industry. Thanks to the support of Sodexo's environmental health and safety consultancy, Safegard, our clients can have confidence that our services will meet all regulations.

Our Cleaning Matters service has been designed to meet the tough guidelines on hospital hygiene as required by the Department of Health and the National Patient Safety Agency. The service is constantly evolving to ensure we can quickly incorporate new Government and NHS initiatives, while keeping hospital hygiene at the top of the agenda.

PFI experience
Our experience in the healthcare industry has seen us involved in a number of private finance initiative (PFI) hospitals - both as a facilities management provider and an equity partner. We have a number of schemes fully operational and more under construction.

We also play a major role in the Independent Sector Treatment Centre programme - an NHS initiative to reduce waiting times and improve patient choice.
