Community

Sodexo recognises its responsibility to the communities it operates in and strives to improve the quality of daily life for people living in these communities. We believe that our community involvement should reflect our business activities as this is where our strengths and areas of expertise lie.

STOP Hunger - A Sodexo Initiative

STOP Hunger
In 2005, we launched the STOP Hunger campaign in the UK & Ireland which aims to combat poor nutrition in our local communities and provides a central focus for our community related activities. STOP Hunger was created because it reflected our core business as a foodservice provider.

STOP Hunger consists of three main components:

  • Financial donations through fundraising
  • Sharing of Sodexo knowledge with our charity partners
  • Employee volunteering through our charity partners

It is managed through the Sodexo Foundation, a registered charity established to provide a framework for charitable giving in a systematic and thoughtful way, and receives the majority of its contributions from employee fundraising with Sodexo covering all associated administration costs.

Sodexo Foundation
The Sodexo Foundation is the registered charity behind the STOP Hunger campaign. Its objectives are to educate and provide relief from financial hardship in relation to health, nutrition and well-being through the provision of grants, goods and services. Registered charity number: 1110266.

If you are a charity and wish to apply for funding or become a charity partner please read the eligibility criteria and application process below:
