New Morley Hall conference centre opens in London Fields
One hundred invited guests, from businesses across East London, attended the official opening of Morley Hall, a brand new conference facility at London Fields, on Friday 28 April. The initiative is a joint commercial venture between The Community College Shoreditch and Sodexho.
The new facilities, located just outside the City of London, comprise a range of suites, meeting rooms and conference space, including a fully equipped IT suite, executive board room and flexible meeting room space. The venture also boasts a new café which will be open to the public.
Guests at the launch were treated to a three course champagne dinner prepared by leading celebrity chef, Paul Rankin, who led a team of chefs from Sodexho's Shoreditch Community College catering team. The guests, who were predominantly from small businesses in the area, were given an exclusive tour of the new conference facilities prior to sitting down to the gourmet meal.
At the launch, Chrissie Farley, Principal at the College, and James Brewster, Chairman of Sodexho Education Services, thanked those who had worked so hard to implement the joint venture. Chrissie said, "Shoreditch Community College and Sodexho are delighted to be able to offer businesses in the City of London and wider area such top class, state of the art conference facilities. We have worked together as a successful partnership for over ten years, and look forward to developing further amenities and services for businesses in the area in the years to come."
London Fields is at the heart of Shoreditch Community College's conference facilities, offering a great range of meeting rooms, suites and lecture space. City Edge, a commercial venture between Sodexho and Shoreditch Community College, promotes and manages conferences and lettings.
